If there's one brand we have a penchant for here at Siopaella, it's Céline. Effortlessly classic and timeless, Céline epitomises glamour in the fashion world. Brought to the forefront of Instagram and social media by bloggers and influncers alike, it's safe to say that Céline is a well loved brand. However many people mightn't know much about the brand outside the classic black tote, so we're here to help you learn about one of our favourite designers.
Céline was founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana and husband Richard. Together they created one of the first luxury fashion brands. 15 years later they shifted their focus to ready-to-wear women's fashion. Believe it or not, it was popular designer Michael Kors that became the first creative director in 1997! That role is now taken by Phoebe Philo.
