Ahh early March.....the weather was crazy cold and the entire country was on the verge of shutting down for the next two days... but that didn't stop blogger / jewellery designer Rosie Fortescue from braving the elements and coming to visit us here at Siopaella!
Rosie dropped by with my dear friend Louise from Loulerie, following the launch of her jewellery collection in Loulerie's Chatham Street store here in Dublin.
No surprise then that Rosie was in the mood to treat herself when she called into us. Spotting a gorgeous little Chanel crossbody we'd just gotten in, Rosie conferred with her Insta followers before taking the leap!

Stuck in snow with nowhere to go, myself and Rosie got to chatting. As we're such huge fans of hers here in store, we thought - no better woman to be our Woman Crush Wednesday! So I sat down with Miss Fortescue to ask her some of the questions that we've all been burning to ask;

To be honest I don't have any crazy stories other than people being trolls and mean. Think that's the most shocking part about social media is that people hide behind their computers and think they can write WHATEVER they want!!
I'd like to be able to teleport. I have so much to do each day that would mean I'd get so much done. Im always working in the evenings and one day I would like to be able to turn off my computers and phone and 7pm and just fully enjoy my evening.
Something that scares you. I think being out of your comfort zone is so so important to grow and to develop as a woman. The feeling of achievement afterwards is also amazing.
To do what you love because it will take over your life. And it's true! My jewellery brand has taken over my life, but I love it, so thankfully I enjoy and am inspired by each new day.
Keep focused and don't be distracted by others around you.
I'd absolutely love to go to Thailand. I have never been and my factory is there for my jewellery brand so can definitely justify a 'work trip' at some point!!

8) Favourite part of visiting Ireland?
Everyone is just so incredibly friendly! I just LOVE it here. I love your store (and my new Chanel!!), Loulerie is just my dream stockist for Rosie Fortescue Jewellery and nothing beats the Westbury hotel!!
9) What is one thing in your closet that you’d never sell to Siopaella?
I would never sell my Chanel bags (or the belt you eyed up haha). I have bought them when I have been working at my hardest and treated myself and hopefully if I have a daughter in the future I would love to pass down both the bags and a hard working ethic to her!
10) This is your second visit to our little store! What is your favourite thing about vintage / consignment shopping?
I just love the gems that you can find! Like my Chanel bag is a total dream! It's got a past story and I can't wait to give it a future story!
