September is a month for change- kids go back to school, shops starting selling Halloween decorations and everyone's rushing out to buy the latest Autumn/Winter trends. But for the Siopaella team, one of the highlights of our September is Dublin Fashion Festival, the launch of which we attended last night!
Dublin Fashion Festival is an annual event that celebrates Irish fashion and our fair city's amazing shopping area. It takes place this year from September 5th-11th, with lots of style savvy events open to the public. Here's how we got on at the launch last night!

We were welcomed by drinks on arrival from one of the sponsors, West Coast Cooler. Galaxy Chocolate (another sponsor) also provided personalised chocolate bars which was such a nice touch. We were all dying to get our hands on one! We tucked into delicious canapés provided by Platform 61 under the gorgeous ceiling of Dublin City Hall- the perfect venue for such a glamorous event.
The fashion show itself began with music by Red Empire Band, getting everyone hyped up for the looks to come. The clothes all came from Dublin retailers like Penneys, River Island and Jervis Shopping Centre, meaning everything was very affordable. Darren Kennedy was revealed as the face of this year's festival- no better man for the job.

Some of the key trends we spotted at the show for the upcoming season are metallics and two pieces. Siopaella stylist Rachel spotted a shiny green suit from Penneys and Anna has her eye on a printed two piece!

We're so excited for the festival to start in September and if you're a fashion fan, we highly recommend you check some of the events out. There'll be on street fashion shows around Henry Street & Grafton Street, customer appreciation nights and even events on the Luas! One of our personal favourites is the Creative Quarter Show in Powerscourt Townhouse. You can check out the prelimanary schedule over on their website here: dff.ie
