How do I consign to ©siopaella?
Due to the volume of incoming stock we receive, we kindly request all new consignors to book an appointment with us prior to coming in for their first time to sell. Please contact us on 086-840-7825 or via email to: info@siopaella.com to arrange a suitable time. We ask for a minimum of 15 items to select from during your first visit so that we can assess the suitability of your items for our store. We pay you 40% of what your item sells for, and we keep your items for 60 days. After 30 days, any unsold items are discounted by 20%. At the expiry of the 60 day contract, unsold items are donated to charity unless otherwise specified.
What type of clothes do you accept? How do I know what designers you carry?
©siopaella accepts designer items for men and women in like-new condition, and not more than two years of age. Merchandise must be in season, clean and in excellent, immaculate condition. We do not accept items that have holes, stains, odors or tears. Zippers should work and no missing buttons please! To see a list of the designers that we carry, please see the Brand page. Please note that this list is only a partial list – if a brand isn’t on the list, it doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t accept that brand.
What if an item requires drycleaning?
We urge all clients to kindly bring in immaculate, freshly cleaned and pressed clothing. However, if an item that we accept for consignment requires drycleaning, the consignor can opt to dry clean it themselves, or we will dryclean it, and take the amount owed for drycleaning off of their account. If an item being sold directly requires drycleaning, ©siopaella will deduct the estimated drycleaning costs from the selling price.
Do you accept vintage pieces?
We do accept vintage pieces, but we’re very selective about the vintage merchandise we take in. The item in question must be either from a designer that is still relevant today (Chanel or Emilio Pucci), or in sync with current trends. In either case, the item must be in excellent condition, and free of odors or stains. Please use your best judgment when bringing in vintage pieces.
Is there anything that you do not accept?
Sorry, we do not accept lingerie or swimwear.
When will I receive payment for my items which have sold?
Consignor payouts are generally paid at the end of their contract period. It is the consignor’s responsibility to contact ©siopaella to check up on their account. Payouts may be in either cash or cheque. Consignors are kindly asked to please claim their share of proceeds within 6 months from date of sale. After 6 months unclaimed funds are donated to charity.
What happens to my garments and accessories that do not sell?
Clothes and accessories will remain at full price for 30 days. Prices will be reduced by 20% after 30 days after the date of initial consignment. After 60 days, consignors must pick up funds from their consignment sales and unsold merchandise. All items not picked up after a period of 7 days will be automatically donated to charity.
Do you guarantee the authenticity of your designer merchandise?
We stand behind every piece 100%, and each item sold in our shops is handpicked and scrutinized by seasoned buyers. We have relationships with the design houses to verify items we may question. ©siopaella is a reputable business built on its outstanding reputation of integrity and honesty, and we will not knowingly sell any counterfeit merchandise.
General Tips for Selling:
1. Make room in your closet by gathering your current, gently used or new, brand-name items that are trendy, clean and in excellent condition.
2. Contact us on 086-840-7825 and after setting up an initial appointment, bring your items in to ©siopaella’s 25a Temple Lane South location (located in Temple Bar, just off of Dame Street and across from Melt). We will review your items, determine if we can sell them in our store and price them based on the following criteria:
- Style
- Season
- Condition
- Brand
- ©siopaella’s current stock levels
3. You are welcome to shop while we review your items to be consigned
